Summary: Join The ACE Roundtable for an exclusive virtual Lunch & Learn featuring Q&A with Adam Balfour, where he will offer guidance, dispel pervasive myths, and explore systems and tools that bridge the gap between E&C leaders’ intent and an E&C program’s lasting impact.

In his book “Ethics and Compliance for Humans”, Adam articulates why ethics and compliance departments, HR and business leaders must keep people top of mind when designing and implementing ethics and compliance programs. The human-centric programs Adam espouses resonate with and are highly relevant to their audiences. They not only consider the human experience, but also protect those who are—or might otherwise be—harmed by wrongdoing.

Audience: This event is open to all compliance & ethics professionals.

Location: This is a virtual program conducted on the Zoom platform. Access link will be provided to registrants with their order confirmation.

CEU/CLE: We are happy to provide up to 1.2 credits for SHRM. This education activity has been submitted to the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® and the GA Bar and is currently pending their review for approval of CCB CEUs (SCCE) and CLEs (GA Bar). Additionally, participants can request a participation certificate to use to self-submit for other professional development credits, including CPEs with the GA State Accountancy Board. Credits will be issued based on actual run time and attendance.

Presenters

 Adam Balfour is on a mission to make ethics and compliance more relatable and relevant for his fellow human beings. He excels at designing ethics and compliance programs that employees can actually relate to, engage with, and find useful. Originally from Scotland, Adam is a graduate of the University of Dundee and Harvard Law School. He worked for a number of years as an attorney for two international law firms in New York before moving to Nashville, Tennessee to work for a global manufacturing company. He is an active member and thought leader in the ethics and compliance community, including a speaker at national conferences, weekly contributor to Corporate Compliance Insights and co-editor of the Compliance and Ethics: Ideas & Answers newsletter together with Joe Murphy, Jeff Kaplan, and Rebecca Walker; and CCEP certified.

Adam is currently serving as the VP & General Counsel for Corporate Compliance, Americas & EMEA at Bridgestone Americas, Inc.
