Christine Boucher | Deputy General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, Delta Air Lines
In her role as CCO, Christine manages a team of professionals responsible for administering Delta’s ethics and compliance, environmental compliance, privacy, international compliance and enterprise records and information management programs.
Christine joined Delta in 2000 as an attorney in the Law Department, and she has handled a wide variety of legal matters, including supporting corporate real estate, supply chain, the customer loyalty program, environmental and corporate compliance. Prior to her current role, Christine was Managing Director of Global Environment, Sustainability & Compliance, leading the team responsible for administering Delta’s environmental compliance and environmental sustainability, Department of Transportation compliance, dangerous goods compliance, and passengers with disabilities programs.
Prior to joining Delta, Christine practiced with the Atlanta law firm of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan (now Eversheds Sutherland). Christine graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and French. She received her juris doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is also a graduate of the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership. Christine is active in the Atlanta community, serving on the Board of Directors of Piedmont Park Conservancy and chairing its sustainability committee. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Captain Planet Foundation, the Board of Directors of Odyssey Atlanta and the Corporate Leadership Council of Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
Meredith Lackey | Chief Compliance Officer, Southern Company
Meredith Lackey currently serves as chief compliance officer (CCO) for utility firm Southern Company. Lackey was previously executive vice president of external affairs and nuclear development for Georgia Power, one of Southern Company’s businesses. In that role, which she was appointed to in June 2020, she led Georgia Power’s policies and activities in governmental and regulatory affairs, community and economic development, corporate communications, environmental affairs, regional external affairs, land management, pricing and planning and nuclear development.
Before taking on that position, Lackey had been senior vice president, general counsel, CCO and corporate secretary for Georgia Power since October 2016. In that role she oversaw the company’s corporate compliance, risk management, security and legal services functions.
Spencer Preis | Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Southwire
Spencer currently serves as Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Deputy Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, and Assistant Corporate Secretary for Southwire. In these roles, Spencer’s primary responsibilities are leading the Company’s Ethics and Compliance and Privacy programs and leading the board governance and entity management functions. In prior roles with Southwire, Spencer served as the Company’s Associate General Counsel for Southwire’s Energy, OEM, Industrial, Canada, and International business units; its Chief Litigation Counsel; and its Senior Labor & Employment Counsel.
Prior to joining Southwire, Spencer worked for the legal department of another large manufacturing company and practiced law with McKenna Long & Aldridge (now part of Dentons). Immediately following law school, Spencer clerked for the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the Honorable Frank M. Hull. Prior to law school, Spencer worked for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Professional Responsibility.
