In an ever-evolving complex world, compliance professionals need a diverse team of resources to tackle the challenges they face and to protect their companies, employees, and communities.
Join the “Compliance Coach” Dr. Hemma Lomax in an interactive forum to discuss the unique types of talent and diversity of thought required to build and maintain an effective team of ethics and compliance champions. Hemma will share feedback on unique ways she has leveraged talent at her organizations and how she most recently went to the market to fill important roles on her team. Attendees are encouraged to come with your questions, ideas, success stories, and lessons learned!

CEU/CLE: We are happy to provide up to 1.2 credits for SHRM. This education activity has been submitted to the Compliance Certification Board (CCB)® and the GA Bar and is currently pending their review for approval of CCB CEUs (SCCE) and CLEs (GA Bar). Additionally, participants can request a participation certificate to use to self-submit for other professional development credits, including CPEs with the GA State Accountancy Board. Credits will be issued based on actual run time and attendance.
Dr. Hemma R. Lomax is a passionate ethics and compliance professional focused on effective risk management at scale and coaching for compliance. She is the VP, Integrity, Governance, Risk, And Compliance and Associate General Counsel at Zendesk, where she leads the Global Ethics and Compliance function. Prior to Zendesk she served as a senior corporate counsel in the Integrity & Compliance team at Snap, Inc. and as a Director in the Global Ethics and Compliance Management team at the Walt Disney Company. Hemma also served for just over a decade prosecuting financial fraud and corruption with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Hemma is also a British trained barrister (trial attorney) and has previously worked as Parliamentary Counsel for the UK government and as an advisor at the United Nations for the government of Guyana. Hemma is a strong advocate for integrity at work, active bystandership and diversity, equity, and inclusion, and she has a PhD in human rights and the role of law in war. She lives in Maryland with her husband and their two daughters.
